Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 2, 2026

The AlarmStreak app (the “App”) is provided by Askar Ormakhanov, address Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan, contact info@alarmstreak.com.

In short

  • No sign-up required. We don’t ask for your name, email or phone number, and we don’t create an account for you.
  • Camera video and task photos are processed only on your device, in real time. We don’t store them, they never leave your device, and they are not shared with us or any third party.
  • Your alarms and wake-up history are stored on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your private iCloud database. We have no access to them.
  • We don’t collect usage statistics. The App contains no analytics and no ads.
  • We don’t use advertising identifiers and don’t track you across other apps or websites.

1. What data is processed and why

1.1 Camera images and task photos

To count exercises, the App analyzes the camera image; for the “photo of an object” task, it analyzes the photo you take.

All processing happens locally on your device using operating system features (body pose detection, object recognition in a photo). Frames and photos are not written to long-term storage, not sent to our servers and not shared with third parties. Once the task is complete, this data is not kept.

Legal basis (where GDPR applies): performance of a contract — the feature cannot work without this processing.

1.2 Data you create in the App

Alarms and their settings, the chosen task type, the wake-up log (whether a task was completed, time, task type, duration, number of repetitions), your streak and statistics.

This data is stored on your device. If iCloud is turned on, it syncs via CloudKit to your private iCloud database, which only you can access: the technical design of CloudKit private databases does not allow the developer to read their contents.

Legal basis: performance of a contract.

1.3 Usage statistics

We do not collect information about how you use the App: which screens you open, what you tap or how much time you spend. The App contains no analytics or advertising services.

If this changes, we will update this policy and notify you in the App before any collection begins (section 8).

1.4 Subscription and payment

Payments are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store card numbers or other payment details. From Apple we receive the status of your subscription (active, free trial, expired), which is enough to provide access.

Legal basis: performance of a contract.

1.5 Crashes and diagnostics

If you have agreed to share analytics with app developers in iOS settings, Apple may send us anonymized crash reports and aggregated metrics. This is controlled by your device settings, not by the App.

2. Who receives data

There are no other recipients. We do not sell personal data and do not share it for advertising or marketing profiling. Data may be disclosed where expressly required by law.

3. Retention

4. Your rights and how to exercise them

You can delete all data right in the App: Settings → Delete all data. This erases your log, streak, statistics and alarms, along with the corresponding records in your private iCloud database, and cannot be undone.

If the GDPR, UK GDPR or similar laws apply to you, you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. If you live in California, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know and the right to delete; we do not sell personal data.

We don’t run accounts or keep your data on our servers, so you access and delete it yourself — in the App and in your iCloud settings. For questions, write to info@alarmstreak.com. We respond within the time limits set by applicable law.

5. Children

The App is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data. If you know that a child under 13 has provided us with data, write to info@alarmstreak.com and we will delete it.

6. Device permissions

PermissionWhyIf you decline
Alarms (AlarmKit)So the alarm goes off at the set time, including in silent modeThe App cannot perform its core function
CameraCounting exercises and the “photo of an object” taskTasks that don’t need the camera remain available
NotificationsA message that your streak broke while it can still be restored, and a reminder that your free trial is endingAlarms still work; notifications don’t arrive

Permissions are requested when the relevant feature is needed, and you can revoke them in your device settings at any time.

7. Security

Data on your device is protected by the operating system, including storage encryption. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee security under all circumstances.

8. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the effective date and, for significant changes, notify you in the App before they take effect. The current version is always available on this page.
